What Is The Sovereignty Of The LORD?
There is no soul in Christ who does not believe it. There is no soul within orthodoxy who demeans it. There are plenty who misapply it. It means, in it's simplest terms, that the LORD is LORD over all. As LORD, He has determined how the order of all things shall be and in the case of mankind, made in His image and endued with rights and privileges shared by no other creation, He has, in His sovereign will, freed men to believe through the preaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ without regard to a partiality of any sort. That is the witness of scripture and is wholly within His sovereign authority.

Sovereignty means being in control. A king is sovereign over his people.
We say God is sovereign because He is in complete control. God is sovereign since He is omnipotent and has complete free will. Nothing happens without God's permission.
BTW, I've seen the term AV used in your blog and some "KJV-only" sites. What's the difference (if any) between AV 1611 and the KJV in general?

I can agree with your comments. However, keep in mind that sovereignty does not remove permission from the scope of sovereignty. It is entirely within the LORD's sovereign right to grant an autonomy, to free the soul to believe and to endue his creation with the rights and priviledges of spiritual and moral beings. The LORD in His sovereign wisdom has made faith a condition of salvation. That is one example. A King delegates authority in His kingdom without losing his sovereign right to do so or to revoke it.
With regard to the AV, I am not at all a "KJV Onlyist". The AV is the English designation meaning Authorized Version while most American bibles use the KJV designation. They are referencing the same thing.
